Problem Statement
Boston Climate Action Network (BCAN) works tirelessly to drive urgent policy changes and community action for climate justice in Boston. However, their small team manages dozens of grant opportunities at once, tracking deadlines, requirements, and reporting obligations across spreadsheets and scattered documents. This process is time-consuming, error-prone, and makes it difficult to quickly evaluate whether pursuing a grant is worth the team’s limited capacity and resources.
Our Solution
We’re building BCAN a custom Grant Tracking System designed to centralize and streamline their grant management process. This system enables the team to easily input, organize, and track grant details—from deadlines and amounts to reporting requirements and key contacts. The tool also features a cost-benefit calculator to help BCAN assess the return on investment for each grant opportunity. With this solution, BCAN can make faster, data-driven decisions about where to focus their efforts, freeing up more time for impactful climate action.
